We watched it at a friends house.... we... actually watched the GAME, amazingly enough.
Usually, we just hang around for the commercials... lol
 football1

The game was well played by both sides, the officiating was fair, there was only one questionable call that I remember (and it was one of those that was just too close to really tell).

Funniest play was in the last minute of the game...
Giants wanted to run the clock down a bit more before giving the ball to the Patriots...  So those clever Patriots left the path to the in zone open, and the Giant's running back (Bradshaw) took it automatically... then he saw the line and was like, "OOPS!! I don't really want to score yet!!"... So he tried to stop, turn around, and he FELL/SAT in the in zone for a touchdown.... lol
Patriots got the ball for a last minute effort, but Giants defense stepped up their game and stopped 'em.
It really was a close game.  Enjoyed watching it.

Madonna's halftime was excellent...  rockband
She incorporated several "sports" themes (roman gladiators, school bands, cheerleaders, etc.,.), scene changes were smooth... very engaging... whoever does it next year has some big shoes to fill.

I avoided it all like the plague lol.. Still managed to see two of the commercials on youtube tho, and I really liked the chevy ad :D  ...  The one I was wondering about tho, the one that so many people (including myself) signed the petition against (greyhound dog racing I think it was?), did that one air or was the petition a success?

The chevy ad:

I'm still laughing about the Ford comment, can't believe they allowed that funny2

I didn't watch the super bowl either, but I do know that  the Greyhound ad ran. :(  As did a disgusting Doritos ad showing a dog burying the family cat, then "bribing" the man of the house with Doritos not to say anything even when the woman of the house asked him if he'd seen her cat.  Sick. Sick the lengths advertising will go to to get attention. I even gave my beloved vet clinic heck about that Dorito ad, they posted it on their facebook because they thought it was "cute". I love the people at my clinic but I hate that ad and couldn't let it go, and didn't.

It is assumed the dog killed and buried the cat?

Yes.  There is a shot of a "lost cat" flyer on a tree.  Then the dog burying something and you get a flash of the collar that is shown on the cat, in the flyer.

My vet clinic had posted that ad on their facebook page.  I posted my opinion, and kind of got jumped on by several people.  I stood my ground and responded with the same reply that I posted in another forum, that cat-killing dogs were not a joking matter, and anyone who has lost a pet, would tell you that a lost pet is not something to joke about either.  The whole exchange, including the ad, was removed from the clinic's facebook page.  I sent them an e mail thanking them for removing it, but they didn't reply to that.  I don't care.  I love the people there, and get along with everyone, heaven knows over the past 7 years I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars and some weeks had been in almost daily it seemed.  So I hope they (whoever runs the facebook page anyway) aren't holding any grudges, but too bad if they are.  That ad was offensive to all pet lovers, especially people who have lost their pets, or had a cat killed by a dog. >:( >:(

I MAY have found it funny, if they didn't have the dog KILL the cat.  Uckie.
Come to think of it...I do make jokes that our one dog would like to know if cats taste like chicken.  She is not fond of the felines.  She has to be watched verrrrry carefully.  She has come a long way, but we would NEVER totally trust her around them.  If anything ever happened, I would be just SICK...and I certainly wouldn't make a commercial!

We don't drink, but the Budweiser commercials are still always my favorite. This years with a contest to "name it":

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2prAccclXs&feature=youtu.be

I'll admit that the commercial this year brought tears to my eyes. THAT is why I'd never make a good breeder of anything. I'd be too much in love with them; but in my case, it would break my heart.  :'(

I'm the person that wasn't allowed around the cattle on my father-in-law's farm. I didn't want any of the calves sold after I "met them."

I loved that commercial :)  That and the Dodge Ram one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sillEgUHGC4&feature=player_embedded  Of course then, I am a farmer, and would love a dodge ram truck, so maybe I'm just a tinsy bit biased  Bumpurr1

Budweiser ended up naming 2 ponies--Hope for the filly in the commercial & Stan for a young stallion. I'm not sure why "Hope" but Stan was for Stan Musial I think. I lot of men were really rooting for "Stan."

I absolutely LOVED the Farmer commercial! Reminded me of that old "If I were the Devil" that was also by Paul Harvey. I still miss hearing him!
