New legislation is being debated to permit vets to vaccinate according to protocols determined by science as opposed to what manufacturers decide to put onto labels.

I recently wrote an article, This Vet is in Trouble for being Ethical when Dr. John Robb of Bridgeport, placed on probation by the Connecticut Veterinary Board was recently.  He has been fighting for this legislation to be passed for the welfare of our pets.

A very important point to consider is that the laws with regard to these vaccines are based soley upon the pharmaceutical company’s labeling.  So if pharma says it’s ok, the government basically accepts it – basically a form of the honor system.  These laws work to the advantage of corporations while they should be based upon unbiased work of experts.

"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semihuman. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog." Edward Hoagland
"Thorns may hurt you, men desert you, sunlight turn to fog; but you're never friendless ever, if you have a dog."
