A racing greyhound trainer once lauded as a “wonderful patriarch of the industry” has lost his license after five dogs tested positive for cocaine following a race in January.Malcolm McAllister, who has notched more than 5,400 wins and more than $900,000 in winnings throughout a nearly 40-year career, had his license revoked effective April 24 after urine samples for the dog tested positive for cocaine metabolites, according to records from Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation obtained by the Tampa Bay Times.McAllister, 70, did not dispute the findings and waived his right to a hearing, but claimed in a statement to the agency that someone who worked for him must have given the dogs the drug.
