Haha Dee you stole my pie! I was going to use it when I posted this!
I don't have a freezer large enough to hold a frozen pie box. So when I get my mince pie I have to bake it right away, so I do it Wednesday night. . Last year I managed to save it until Thanksgiving, because my friend hadn't ever had it.
But this year she admits she didn't like it so I had no deterrents for digging in early, in fact before it was barely cooled.
It was really amazing fresh out of the oven, I've never had the joy of that before, and it's tasting pretty good for brunch this morning!
