I'm ready for a break in this weather!
« on: January 04, 2018, 03:19:30 PM »
I'm getting tired of unremitting cold!  I don't mind so much for myself, although I wish we would get some snow to go with the frigid temperatures.  Poor cats, though...  We have an elevated screened porch over a walk-out basement, and it's a favorite place for them to hang out when the weather is decent.  They can handle chilly, but right now, I can't even put water out there for them without it freezing.  They are missing the fresh air, additional space, and their giant cat trees, and I'm missing being able to put them out there when I want a cat-free kitchen counter.   :(

My girls are missing their porch too.  I hate it when they can't get some fresh air, but they won't go near the open door when it's this cold.

Well this year is a first for us. It's the first time ever that Vlad's headed to the gate on his own after about 15 minutes. He wants to be out, but it's obviously much colder than he's used to in past years.

I got 3 inches today.  You're welcome to it.   Silly7

Wow, I'll be having a heat wave compared to you, MC.  High of 14 here today, low of 2 (not counting wind chills below 0).  Saturday:  high 11, low -3.

Yeah.  Can't wait.  yuk  And WHEN was the memo sent out that said the North Pole was relocating to the Continental U.S.?

Our cats won't go outside in their enclosure, unless there is sun.  It is 47 degrees.

Yes the windchill is very dangerous.  Many schools are closed today, because of the danger.

And the wind sounds like a train out there.  The trees sound like they are breaking.

And when a gust hits my house it shakes.
