FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - December 6, 2011 - Cargill Animal Nutrition today announced a voluntary recall of two regional brands of its dry dog food – River Run and Marksman – due to aflatoxin levels that were detected above the acceptable limit. The affected products were manufactured at Cargill’s Lecompte, Louisiana, facility between Dec. 1, 2010, and Dec. 1, 2011. No illnesses have been reported in association with these products to date, and no other Cargill Animal Nutrition pet food products are involved in this recall. Affected products are:

RIVER RUN 21% Protein Dog Food, 40 and 50 pound bags
RIVER RUN Hi-Pro No-Soy Dog Food, 40 and 50 pound bags
MARKSMAN DOG FOOD 24% Protein 20% Fat, 40 pound bags

The recall only applies to the above products with the following Packaging Date Codes (lot numbers): 4K0335 through 4K0365, LL0335 through LL0365, 4K1001 through 4K1335 and LL1001 through LL1335.

The affected dry dog food products were distributed in the following 15 states/territories – Kansas, Missouri, Northeast Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Southeast Indiana, Southern Illinois, Hawaii, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands and limited areas of Florida and California.  Retailers have already been instructed to remove the affected brands and products from store shelves.

While no adverse health effects related to these products have been reported, Cargill is implementing this recall as a precautionary measure.  Consumers are urged to return affected products – whether in opened or unopened packages — to their place of purchase for a full refund.  For more information, including photos of products involved, consumers can go to www.cargill.com/feed/dog-food-recall or call toll free 855-460-1532.

Aflatoxin is a naturally occurring mold by-product. Pets that have consumed any of the above recalled products and exhibit symptoms of illness including sluggishness or lethargy combined with a reluctance to eat, vomiting, yellowish tint to the eyes or gums, or diarrhea should be seen by a veterinarian.

Another good reason, not to feed foodies that gots grains in them.  Cargill also makes horse grain, wonder if they had issues too.  Dealing with cat/dog people is one thing, dealing with horse people, that have show horses worth hundreds of thousands of dollors, and some, big money people is another.  Cargill don't want to be a takin them on, I could sell tickets to that one.  Put your money, on the horsie people.  :D

So Lola, what is you serving up, on Christmas day? Will you be serving corn?  :-*

There is one game on Christmas day, Sunday, Chicago at Green Bay, but not until 8PM E, everybody else plays on Christmas Eve, Sat.  If you can servey din din before that, Bump will come for Christmas dinner, as long, as ya ain't servin no corn, m-o-l.  :P :-* Bumpurr1 TexasFlag bumpgif Christmas13 Christmas9

We are cooking steak on the grill.  Everyone gets to choose their favorite side.  I will be having corn on the cob, but none of the furkids will be served any corn.
Won't be watching football for a while.  I had my fill watching the game between the Cowboys and Cardinals recently.  If I remember correctly, Cowboys lost in OT.   Bumpurr1

Bump will take his steak rare, and for his side, he wants turkey baby foodies, and his mommy will take her steak rare too, and she wants green beans, in the creamy sauce, with those crunchy thingys on top, m-o-l.  :-* :P

Dallas usually has great time management, they excell, at coming back, with no time left.  Against Arizona, they did a pssssssss poor job. Had 2 timeouts left. Should have called time out, and then put the FG team on the field. But even then, they are so used to having the FG team, rush on the field, thats pretty much how they do it,  with no time left, it wasn't a prob, they got set, they kicked it, FG good.  Bad Boy Jason Garrett, called a time out, just before the snap, which he didn't have to do. His fault. He thought they weren't set, or the play clock was running down, don't know which, but he should have just let them do, what they are used to doing.  It should not have even gone to OT. Then my defense, who knows what the heck they were doing, ton of missed tackles, they play better than that, Rob Ryan about had a cow.  >:(

Got the G men coming on down to Big D on Sun night. We is a game up, we needs to stay that way.  8)
