I don't even know if I have an e bay password.  I've never bought anything on it, but have searched on it before, a time or two.  I always seemed to get porno spam after visiting there so I haven't even been on the site in years.

He's got one and I use that. Funny thing was that this afternoon, I got a phishing-scam letter "from Ebay" asking me to click on the link and change my PW. So the thieves are already taking full advantage of the glitch like they did when Target was hit. I thought I'd never get rid of those Target phishing emails.

I don't have anything using my personal email for those companies, so I always know it's phishing w/o even opening it. But I feel sorry for the people that hear about a hack, but don't think twice before answering those phishers.

Heck, I'm going to have to check his computer every time now when I want to go on ebay to look. I'll never remember the new PW he made.

If you want a lot of phishing/spam emails... use PayPal!  eBay owns PayPal.  I don't know if PayPal just gets hacked on a daily basis, or if eBay sells our info... or both.

It is really difficult to get around from using PayPal.  Sooooo many websites believe it is a trusted form of payment, for their customers.

To anyone that has a PayPal account, NEVER give them your checking account info.  NEVER EVER.  Stick to one cc and one cc only.

Hubs refuses to allow anything but one CC be used with online payments. He says that using debit cards doesn't give you the same insurance as using a CC whether it's got Visa on it or not. You'll have a harder time getting money back from a debit if something goes wrong. He pays the bills, I do what he says, so no arguments.

I agree with your hubby.
Use one CC for online payments... and never a debit card.
