The Greatest Showman
« on: April 12, 2018, 06:20:27 PM »
I don't watch many movies, but I have watched a few lately... and The Greatest Showman was one.
It was pretty good.  I enjoyed it.

Here is the trailer, if you are interested...

I loved that one, but you know I love music.

I didn't read what it was about or anything, before I watched it.  A few people told me it was good.  I figured ..what the heck, I'd rent it.  I could turn it off, if I didn't like it.
I just assumed it was going to be more circus-ish... and not in a good way.  I was VERY pleasantly surprised!

Why is it called a musical?  I mean...I know what a musical is and I hate them, but I didn't think those kinds of movies (where too many scenes are sung instead of spoken) were done any more. Is it really a musical?

A lot of it is sung. IMDB classifies it as " Biography, Drama, Musical."

Watched it again last night, with hubby.  He liked it too.
