Welcome back!  Thanks for the Queen Eva updates!  :)  I'm glad she finally used her box.

I know it's not ideal, but remember the Wonderlabs B12 capsules added to her food might be an option.  At least it would get something into her.  That said, if you take Queen Eva to the vet for acupuncture (and I'm sure it would help her arthritis), maybe she could get the B12 shots at the same time?

Please take care of yourself, and REST!  And of course, cuddle The Queen.  :)  Hug1 Hug1 Hug1 Hug1 Hug1

Queen Eva hadn't peed in 25 hours and hadn't pooped in 49 hours. This morning I got up and picked her up and put her in the litter box and told her if she didn't go I was going to have to take her to the vet.  She jumped right out and ran away but about five minutes later finally went back and did both.

I remembered that I had done that when we first moved here and she hadn't used the litter box in over 48 hours, and it worked then, so I tried it again, and it worked again.

I also botched the 3rd Vit B-12 so she's had none of them. I think my hands are just too arthritic to do it.  I was about to see if I could run her in and let a tech do it every week, then my health went bad so that's all on hold for now.

By the way my vet is studying Chinese medicine, this week she's on an acupuncture training. I told her I was very excited to hear about this and wondered if it might be something that would help Queen Eva with her arthritis.

Queen Eva peed and pooped overnight so I grabbed her for a weight this morning, 6 pounds 15 1/2 ounces.  Now I can let her skip a meal now and then without worry, for instance this morning she doesn't want to eat much. Probably moving some fur through.

She's still very anxious when she sees me getting ready to leave the house, she'd never ever spent a night alone before. Very clingy!

I botched the Vit B 12 shot again. This time I asked them to loosen the needle cap so that was okay, but I stuck the needle too far and it came out the other side and I had already plunged before I realized it. Vet wants me to get another and give it to her today and she wants her on the lactulose permanently, a new bottle of which I will pick up today also.

No more diarrhea (or any poop) as of this morning. She ate her raw meal breakfast without trouble. I think she still has a bit of a tummy ache, judging by the way she crouches around and is reluctant to play. I had to stop the GLM too, because I didn't know if that was contributing to the other problems.  When she goes back to eating her canned, I'll try adding the GLM again and see what happens. I just want her to have some relief from arthritis pain.

Queen Eva is rejecting all canned food but will eat cooked chicken (I roasted a chicken on Sunday) or her own cooked meals (pork with chicken and the broth) or raw, in small amounts.  She had a tiny formed single poop earlier, I found it when I came home for lunch. Formed but still very soft.

I can keep her hydrated with the fluids.
