April 1, 2013 – BARF World Inc. has today confirmed it is conducting a voluntary recall of three of its raw frozen dog food products due to possible contamination with Salmonella bacteria.

BARF Raw Frozen Patties Dog Food RecallThe company is recalling the following three products:

    BARF Lamb Patties
    BARF Combo Patties
    BARF Combo Patties (bulk package)

All three products share the same “Use By” date of July 27, 2013.

BARF World has published a Frequently Asked Questions page to provide more details about the recall.

What to Do?

Consumers who find they have a recalled product at their home are advised to dispose of the product in a safe manner (i.e. in a securely covered trash receptacle).

They may also contact Christopher Hampson at 866-282-2273 to request a replacement or a refund. According to the company…

    “In the meantime, you can go ahead and continue feeding any other bags of the BARF Diet that you have in stock.”
