That's absolutely splendiferious! I'm so happy for you that you found somewhat of a solution, and I bet the more they use it, the happier they'll be on it and the longer they'll stay out there with you enjoying the breeze and watching the world go by!

You should be really proud of yourself for your hard work!

I am SO glad everyone is enjoying their time outside.  I know you feel better too!!!

My hubby has always wanted to screen in the patio.  I've fought him for mannnnny years.  I may just cave in.  Your fault.  :)

I would have liked to screen the porch in instead of just hanging deer fence but screening is beyond my capabilities and paying for it to be done right is beyond my budget. If it was my own house I would have had it done, years ago. If you can, you should definitely do it!

Here are some pictures of Mazy and Jennie enjoying their porch while I lounged in my lounger with my book and a blanket (it was COLD)

Awwwww they are all sure enjoying the sun!!  They look so content and happy... and Queen Eva is SHINY!  I don't see a new Cheerios box though.

Thanks all.  I promised them an outing in their real yard today though. I just can't bring myself to deprive them of that once a week, even with the porch as a substitute.

Our enclosure has a tile floor.  We wanted a solid floor... for some reason.  So, they don't "experience" grass... other than the little bit around the edges.  They don't pay attention to it, though.  Arrows and Lola sneak out, of the house, once in a while.  Leonard did also.  They all go right to concrete areas and roll around.  My point... maybe grass isn't so important.  I know your cats may have different likes... just throwing my experiences out there.  :)

It's not just the grass.  Queen Eva has tunnels and forts to explore.  They like seeing the tree and sky overhead.  We all like it and I am not willing to deprive any of us of that once a week outing.

Plus I needed the porch today to hang out laundry, haha.

I'm thrilled though that we have the porch now for breezy evenings, and for Saturday or Sunday mornings.

A short clip of Queen Eva expressing her happiness that Mazy cat had finally joined her on the porch

I was thinking about when I first did this, tonight.  I thought I remembered it taking Mazy cat 2 weeks before she would come out on the porch, but I see it was about 9 days. She's first out, last in, ever since she first finally braved it.

We were just out there listening to the rain, feeling the storm coming. It's still not cold yet. Now they're all wound up.  It's past our bed time but suppers got started late, so I am up late.
