Is it my imagination?
« on: August 18, 2017, 02:50:27 PM »
It seems like my internet connection slows down every time my laptop gets "updated."   I don't mean during the update, I mean afterwards.  Is that possible?  Is there anything I can do about it?  Am I imagining this?

A lot of updates cause space to be taken over. You can always keep an eye on Windows Task Manager in the Processes tab to measure how much memory is being used.

I use Cleanup http://www.stevengould.org/index.php

and Eusing Registry Cleaner http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm

to keep mine moving faster.

Yeah, it came with the laptop.  Good to know I'm not hallucinating.

Thanks, Dee, I'll have to give those a try!

I'm sticking the installation files into "the cloud." I'll message the links to you.

Thanks, Dee!

You're welcome. Attached is how Cleanup Settings (under options) should look after installation:
