S/he Is Gone
« on: February 28, 2018, 03:08:24 PM »
I've been reading this a lot these last several months.  May it help ANYONE that has lost a loved one... human or furry.   :-* HeadButt Hug1

S/he is Gone

You can shed tears that s/he is gone
Or you can smile because s/he lived
You can close your eyes and pray that s/he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that s/he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him/her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him/her and only that s/he is gone
Or you can cherish his/her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind
be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what s/he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on

A 15+ year friend of mine in Spain had to send the smuggler of her pride to the rainbow yesterday. I will share this with her if I may.

I am sorry.  :(
Of course you may share it!  I found it on the internet.  David Harkins isn't me, he is the author.

That's beautiful.  Hug1 Hug1 Hug1
"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semihuman. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog." Edward Hoagland
"Thorns may hurt you, men desert you, sunlight turn to fog; but you're never friendless ever, if you have a dog."
