Yesterday I made the soup stock.  Got 15 1 1/2 cup servings

It looks a little blotchy because I skimmed the fat this morning before bagging and freezing

I got a lovely aspic this time!

My handy-dandy bagger thingy

All ready for the freezer (I kept some out for tonight)

Yummmmmy!

Have you ever tried one of those automatic apple peelers?  Something like this:

Don't like those things. Too much work, no place to store it, no place to set it up, and you need perfectly shaped fruit.  I prefer to do it myself. :)

Forgetting the storage space needed, I had a Daisy Stripper/Peeler ages ago, and it was the bomb! Perfectly shaped fruit NOT needed. Give me 30 minutes, and I had a head-start far enough ahead on three people that they never could catch up with when slicing the apples. (We used to have apple trees, and we'd dry fruit every year.)

I was looking around just now, and I found something that looks just like it: http://www.amazon.com/Starfrit-93209-Rotato-Express-Electric/dp/B000X9EPT0/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1444712695&sr=1-1&keywords=rotato

I'm ordering one of those suckers. I miss my Daisy, and that thing looks just like it. I might not have fruit trees any longer, but we still eat apples, and I HATE peeling potatoes!
