Oh, lord, Shadow!

You really have to be careful doing things in summer! I know you know it, but it never hurts to hear again, "GET AND STAY HYDRATED!"

If you have to help often, it might be good to buy (or make) some of those gel cooling bandannas & keep them wet in plastic bags and refrigerated/frozen in the truck or a small cooler--changing often.

Directions to make your own:

Try to get plenty of rest, and I hope you feel better soon!

Oh Shadow!

Keep yourself cool, take cool showers, as many as necessary.

I had a friend who got heatstroke from wearing a character costume inside a hotel.  The costume was a full character, like a mascot type thing... So, even though the hotel was a/c, the costume made him sweat like crazy.  He ended up going to the hospital for heat exhaustion/dehydration.

A few days later, after he had supposedly recovered, he was at our house and suddenly had a relapse!  It was a warm day, and we had no a/c at the time (WA.. who needs a/c?).  He spiked a temp, and started to pass out.  We had to get him into our shower and run cool water over him (hubby helped with that).  He recovered, but was still "sick" for a few more days after.

So.... even if you think you are feeling better, really pay close attention to what your body is telling you.  Cool showers are your friend.

I think the others said it really well:  rest, cool showers, and HYDRATE!  If you have any Gatorade or coconut water, or something with electrolytes handy, that would be better than water.  You need to hydrate, but you also need to replenish those electrolytes.
