Raw Feeding / Re: Rad Cat is ceasing production
« Last post by Middle Child on January 20, 2019, 10:00:46 AM »
There's a post in the IBD group about Stella & Chewy coming out with a new, boneless, version of their frozen raw.  It will be medallions instead of nuggets I think. They posted a picture of what will be the packaging, but I in the ingredients list I didn't see a calcium source listed, not sure what S&C plan to use.  the person who posted it works for an independent pet health food store, is how they know about it.

Queen Eva still gets a little S&C every week. Usually one meal of Duck Duck Goose on Wednesday week and one meal of Rabbit on Sunday. Any more than that and she gets a bit constipated, it's too high in bone.

Recent Update Snip:

As for an update on a possible investment partner to bring Rad Cat back strong as ever…we have had lots of contact from folks interested in investing which is wonderful.  We are currently communicating with a potential partner, but due to confidentiality we can’t say any more at this time.

No, just lashing out because she did not get my pillow. Last night she got to it before I did than she followed me to SO's side. I had to move her and she got mad. Well, there is only so much room and side sleeper does not mean you get to sleep sideways and take up over half of the space:)

Funny you should say that.  Jennie has started doing that.  Sleeping across ways instead long ways.  She starts out in my arms stretched the right way but by the time I get up for my first trip to the bathroom she's repositioned herself perpendicular.  When I get back to the bed, as you an guess, there is no room left for me.

Mazy cat had a rough couple of days she must have been loaded with fur.

She coudln't keep any meals down, but no fur was coming up with them.  Finally last night she puked up her supper with two wads of fur in it.  Then this morning she had a poop that was almost pure fur.  I hope that's the end of it, she did keep down her first breakfast meal.

GENERAL CAT CARE / Re: Jennie has been diagnosed with carcinoma (cancer)
« Last post by Middle Child on January 20, 2019, 08:19:36 AM »
Jennie's face is all normal this morning.  Her right front paw is still puffy.  Her hind paws also do seem to be a bit puffy.

Her appetite has gone off, most likely from the Orbax antibiotic.  I am still managing to coax all her meals into her but it is a lot of work and I won't be able to keep it up during the work week.  I think I am going to have to give her fluids today or maybe tomorrow.  I don't like to give them with those swellings still in her feet.

She still needs help softening her stool.  I am afraid to give her the miralax.  I gave her mineral oil in the middle of the night so it wouldn't interfere with any of her medications.  This helped her pass some stool that was soft, but it was small and bloody. More blood than I've seen in a long time.

I can tell she doesn't feel good, and I am pretty sure it's the antibiotic, she's had 3 doses now.  Only 4 more to go.

In retrospect - was her clawing me in the face an accident or not?

I could be wrong but it sounds to me as though the situation with swelling may be improving. It s definitely doesn't sound as though it is getting worse.

I would agree, it sounds like the swelling is getting better.
