Cat rocks
« on: May 28, 2018, 09:15:46 AM »
I can't remember if I have ever posted about my habit of picking up cat rocks.  These are rocks shaped like cats.  I find them everywhere.  Over the years I've had to force myself to just admire them and leave them because my apartment is already overrun with cat rocks.

I know I've taken pictures with the intent to share them here but I don't think I ever have shared them.  Maybe later I'll snap a few.  It will be quicker than trying to find ones I've taken previously.

Yesterday on my hike I saw two cat (rocks) head bumping each other and took a picture of it.  See if you can see what I see

I have used the paint program to outline what I see.  But I won't add that until I know whether you guys can see it or not.  Silly7

I see a cat in the big rock, but not the little.

Thanks for looking! bananamiddlechild

Incidentally, when I see a cat rock, it's something that jumps out at me immediately. I don't go around staring at rocks trying to find cat rocks.  Maybe that was understood, but I thought I'd mention it.

I didn't have to try to figure it out in the big rock. But I've looked and looked at the little one quite a few times now. You know, leave, go back, leave go back. . .and I just can't see one. I keep on doing that in hopes that it just jumps out at me like the big one, but it doesn't.

All will be revealed.  Silly7

But I'll let the others see it first.

I think I see both -- the little one has an even smaller rock above it for the ear(s), [or maybe pine needles are covering part of it, making it look a little separate] which with the little one (to me) made up the "head" of the smaller cat.  I will say, though, that if you hadn't said there were 2 cat (rocks), I wouldn't have thought either one looked like a cat.

I don't see either one.  I can "force" a cat with the smaller rock.
I usually can see all the tricky things that get posted on Facebook, but... not this time.  :)

I'm more apt to see one cat in the picture.  The little rock being the head.  Cat facing to the right.

You're trying too hard,  that's not how it works lol. When I see a cat in a rock it is instant.  I am not TRYING to see it, I just see it. I have them all over my house, in my yard, and when I cleaned out my old car there were 13 of them in the car.

Same here.

Can you share pictures of others?

I will.  I've always meant to, and have taken pictures of my favorites a hundred times with the intent to make a thread, but never get to it and then it would take forever to find the shots, so I'll do it again.

Not a cat rock, but a special one.  When son was young, he thought this was THE COOLEST rock.  He signed it and gave it to me.  :)
