This week's post is the final part of Stop Killing Your Pet: The Top 5 Ways, and is about feeding raw bones. DIY dentals that beat any toothbrush man has ever invented.

I just can't imagine many animals putting up with a toothbrush, especially cats, but that's the normal recommendation these days. It's like the vet dentists see the pet's dental problems mirroring people's dental problems. So, should we be flossing them, too, Dr. WhiteCoat?

The beauty of having wild ancestors and cousins to refer to for examples is we'll never stray too far from good practices. The modern dog and cat are really just wolf and lynx deep down inside. Genetics bear that out.

Rather than compare pets to kids, let's compare them to the wolves and lynx they really are, eh? Makes much more sense.

Thanks for posting this, DeeDee!  At some point I hope to work up the nerve to try raw bones with Pookie.  Info like this helps.   :)
