Coconut Butt
« on: January 26, 2015, 04:34:23 PM »
I know I mentioned that I put a tiny bit of coconut oil on Mazy cat's bum one time to encourage her to clean it off, but I don't remember where I posted it.

I only did it the one time, unti tonight again, her bottom was starting to look chapped again (and dirty).  I wondered if the extra washing might help keep the anal glands clear too, so I went ahead and give Jennie-jennie a Coconut Butt too.

They both are just THRILLED to have such nice tasting bums!  funny2

It's really hilarious!

Disclaimer:  My vet has given me information that states that cats should not have coconut oil because of the medium chain triglycerides.  I know that many people do use coconut oil on a regular basis for their cats, I do not, because I believe my vet.  However I have decided that a tiny drop every other month or so, to help them keep their bottoms clean won't hurt.  Mazy because of her high mucilage diet has a dirty bum, and Jennie, though she keeps it clean, (maybe) to help her keep her anal glands clear.
