Happy New Year everypawdy. Weird was less kabooms than last year although GA now allows the big stuff. Fine with me, my cats were quite mellow except Charlie who is very sensitive but it was pretty quiet so he caught himself again fast

Here's hoping we all have the best year ever!

You know what you guys, I thought it was very odd that I didn't hear any fireworks this year.  Good grief I can hear the summer every-Thursday-night works all summer long and they are clear across the town. The city fireworks (First Night and July 4th and other celebrations) are even closer and I can always hear them, though not quite see them.

And I expected to hear them at midnight.    I had fallen asleep on the couch around 9:30 I think.  I like to do that on a week night that isn't a work night because of a holiday the next day.  :) (usually I am in bed at 9:30) I woke up around 11:30 and got up to feed the cats their belated last meal. I was feeding Mazy cat her second serving right at midnight.  I heard no fireworks.

MC,
It is nice to not have all the furkids scared out of their minds, isn't it!

They never seem be bothered by them.  Maybe because they are so used to them because of the Baseball Camp's weekly annoyance all summer long?

Or maybe they just aren't close enough. A number of years ago I had some undesirable neighbors behind me that used to set off fireworks and fire crackers at random times.  I found this extremenely upsetting, but I don't remember if the cats were bothered by it or not.
