Unbiased Breakdowns of Dog Foods
« on: June 24, 2011, 04:49:23 PM »
This is perhaps the best online resource regarding dog foods (IMO) because they are completely unbiased and base the ratings solely on the ingredients -- not only quality of, but species-appropriateness as well.

They also explain the ingredients "in plain English", so be sure to scroll down for their insightful, fact-based write-up for each food.

Not coincidentally, the most "well-known" mainstream foods can be found easily in the "one star" tier -- complete with thorough explanations of why they're there.   nurse1

That is a great site.  I've used it a few times myself.  Do you know of a website that base their ratings on ingredients, species appropriateness, AND company history?  Reason I ask, is because some foods have GREAT ingredients, but have been involved often in recalls, icky company buy-outs, etc.  I like to decide on foods according to the "entire picture"...so to speak.
