LOS ANGELES SHELTER DOGS TO BE FED VEGAN
« on: December 03, 2017, 04:08:40 PM »
This really needs to be stopped.  Susan at TAPF has listed some ways to contact this shelter and tell them what a terrible idea this is.

Someone good at search can probably find direct e mail contacts, maybe at the shelter website.? My internet is so slow since the "upgrade" it's impossible to search for anything.

I'm waiting for her interview:

"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semihuman. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog." Edward Hoagland
"Thorns may hurt you, men desert you, sunlight turn to fog; but you're never friendless ever, if you have a dog."

Oh.my.gosh.

Quote
Commissioner Roger Wolfson was the board member clearly pushing the vegan dog food agenda. Some quotes from his presentation…

“feeding meat to our dogs isn’t healthy for the dogs”

“not only can dogs do well on plant based diets, they can do better”

“many if not most of the longest living dogs on this planet have proven to be vegan dogs”

I've been watching her FB, and she's not posted anything about it yet.

SO, here's a new video and a lot of links about the vegan shelter issue:

I sit down with Armaiti (Ar-Mighty) May, a Los Angeles Veterinarian who is a proponent of vegan diets for dogs. After watching this interview, what do you think?
