Litter Mat
« on: May 27, 2018, 09:41:52 AM »
I've always expected a certain amount of litter to end up on the floor... that is just life.  I just put rugs or yoga mats under boxes, and didn't give it much more thought.

BUT :) these mats do work really well!  The litter doesn't stay on top of the mat.  It "falls" inside... hard to explain.

Where I have two covered boxes, they work the best.  Mostly because the cat has to exit a box in one direction.  A lot of mat sticks out in front of the box.

The boxes without lids (Sterilite storage boxes), I have to use two mats per box... due to size of the Sterillite boxes.

This is the link.  I did find them a few bucks cheaper elsewhere.

I don't blame them! Our uncovered boxes get the most use.  The mat will work for uncovered boxes, I just have to use two.

Thank goodness for Google!  :)
Assuming I found the correct item... those are cool.  I like that they are made from recycled material.  Are they easy to clean?  I have some outside mats that I realllllly liked, until it came time to clean them.  They are industrial and apparently require an industrial vacuum.  Hosing them off only works half-azzed as well.  I paid good money, so they will stay...but I pretty much hate them.   Silly7
