Barkly likes it better in the hallway. They're both dead to the world now with that Tryptophan, but Vlad did a lot of jumping up and barking at the loudest things. He went out to potty though, so that's progress.

It's not over. Saw someone say that his wife had to work today (nurse) so they'd be doing their fireworks tomorrow. It's a sheriff's deputy, so no use in saying a thing.

Someone said, "It's one night of celebration for this great country of ours for Pete's sake!"

Someone else said, "It would be okay if it actually were for just one :-X night! But it's 2 weeks before, and 2 weeks after off and on and that's more than ridiculous! It's outrageous, insensitive, and completely inconsiderate of those that live around you!"

Yeah. What she said!
"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semihuman. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog." Edward Hoagland
"Thorns may hurt you, men desert you, sunlight turn to fog; but you're never friendless ever, if you have a dog."

Well it appears the previous nights of noise prepared my girls for last night.  There was barely and ear flicker during the worst of it.  Mazy cat had the Rescue Remedy again, and Queen Eva did run downstairs all wild eyed and one particularly loud blast, but for the most, they were okay.  Whew.
