Title: Lilly's Dental
Post by: Lola on March 02, 2016, 12:21:11 PM
Her dental was moved from yesterday to today.
No food or water after midnight the night before.
Dinner is served at 8 pm.  Knowing she wouldn't be getting breakfast at 4 am, and wouldn't be home until after lunch at noon...I gave her a fairly large snack at 10:30 pm.

Lilly is a talker.  This morning she was a non-stop talker.  At about 5 am, she started out with a friendly tone...  "Uh, mom wake-up.  I think dad forgot I was in lock-down.  He didn't feed me breakfast." A little while later..."Mom, would you feed me breakfast?"  Eventually her tone got louder and stronger... "MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, what are you NOT understanding?!!!"

She is a very easy going cat.  Not much bothers her.  But even she has her limits.

8 am... time to go.  She cries all the way to the vet.  Little soft cries.   It was easier when she yelling at me.

LOL, awwww . . .

I know, the trip to the vet always sucks.  I hope it went well!

Oh boy.  I did giggle at your descriptions though. We'll all be glad when she is home!

The vet called.  She had a little ew on two back teeth... "easy to clean."  Other than that... tip top shape!  :)
I can pick her up in a few hours.  YAY!

Jenkins will be VERY happy.  He has been pacing around all morning.

Lilly is doing VERY well.  She seems to be completely normal already.

Vet called later.  Blood work and urinalysis came back already.  Results were "flawless."

I thought I had already had the Senior Panel and urinalysis done for her a few months back.  It was in my plan to do so.  But then there was another furkid issue and ... brain fart.
Anyway... the vet does do pre-dental bloodwork, but he noticed I had requested Senior Panels for Lola and Lucy, so he called and asked if I wanted the same for Lilly... while she was "out."  I am SO glad he called.  I would have kicked myself, when I realized I hadn't had it done!

Sounds like the vet is trying to be a good vet at least. So glad Lilly is back to normal already and thrilled with her good report!

I'm glad Lilly's back to herself so quickly, and her bloodwork was so good.  You have a very thorough vet -- I'm amazed he called to ask!   thumbsup1  You, Lilly and Jenkins must be relieved that she's home.
