Yesterday, Roxy and Lilly both skipped breakfast and showed little interest in lunch and dinner. This morning... the same. However, I was able to coax them to eat. They both ate a decent amount This is not the norm for either of them!
Myself and hubby can't think of ANYTHING that Lilly and Roxy have in common...that would cause any issues.
The food rotation brands and/or flavors haven't changed. They don't hang out with each other. They don't hang out in the same areas of the house. They don't have common friends. Lilly is twice the age of Roxy. They don't have any of the same habits either. Nothing odd is showing up in the litter boxes.
We have had a house guest this week, but she is pretty quiet. No smelly perfumes or anything. She also doesn't make any moves first... meaning if a cat comes to her, she pets him or her. But she doesn't go to them. She isn't staying in "their" room. She doesn't eat their food.
Edited: This house guest lived here... with them... for a few years. She isn't (technically) a stranger.
The ONLY thing (that I can think of) is that neither Roxy or Lilly are ones to welcome strangers. Could they be upset with a house guest? Neither of them hide from her...and she has been here since Sunday. This all started Thursday.
Jenkins, however...is marking off the days until her departure. He absolutely doesn't like visitors (he hides)...but he still eats (under the table...not in clear view.)!
