SOMETHING Is Sleeping In My Flower Pot

Lola:
It is cold and rainy. 
I'm not wearing my glasses.
I look out the window and see ... it is big, gray, and has striped.  My first thought.. snake!

Lola:
Not a snake!

Lola:
Hubby informs me that "she" has been hanging around our house for days. 

Middle Child:
Oh it makes my heart hurt to see him.  Looks like a tom with that big head.  Are you going to try to rescue him?

Lola:
There are cats all over my neighborhood.  You see them only for a short while though.  :(

I haven't had one take a liking to my house for mannnnny years.  As horrible as this will sound... it was easier to not think about the cat population... now you see him/her/now you don't.... when they weren't "in your face."

S/he probably weights about 8 lbs.  My guess... young. 
S/he runs from us.

No, this cat is NOT A SIGN that we should add to our furkid family. 

I am going to contact an acquaintance that works in rescue.
