I got this far --

Quote
Cats fed canned foods require a higher quantity of taurine than those fed dry foods to prevent taurine deficiency resulting from alterations in the bioavailability of taurine attributed to the effects of processing (3,4).

??   :-X
Any guesses on who funded that study....

Who?? if you mean the pet food industry, that would not make sense, as they make canned food too, and its more expensive, so why not push the wet food. :-\
I have more on this "study", will get back to this later.

One thing that kinda threw up a little flag for me was what they were using as their baseline diet:  milk and soy.
