Raw Fed Fur Coats
« on: March 09, 2015, 08:22:31 PM »
There were changes in the cats' coats, after transitioning from kibble to canned.  The biggie (that I remember) was no dandruff.  Makes sense, as they are no longer dehydrated.
However...
The difference, when being fed raw, is more awesome!  People use words like soft, luxurious, shiny, etc.  It didn't exactly "compute," because fur is soft.  I honestly thought...how much softer can fur really get.   But ...after feeding raw for a while.  Seeing first hand.  I totally get it now!
My apologies to the people I thought were maybe just over-exaggerating a bit.   Silly7

The vet-techs all freak over Barkly's coat. Corgis have a silky-feel to the underside of them, but Barkly feels like a mink or something. All of them have to come touch him when they're in the office.

Mink... perfect description!  I can so understand the vet techs wanting to touch your dogs.  It just doesn't sink in (for most) that cat/dog fur can be THAT soft.

My Lacy dog has very short hair, so I don't see much of a change in her coat.  Her poop is pretty cool though.  lol
