Title: "10"
Post by: Middle Child on October 04, 2018, 05:43:06 AM
This movie, with Dudley Moore and Bo Derek came up in my netflix dvd queue.  I don't remember adding it but there it was in my mail box. Old movie -1979? I started to watch it, and tried to get through it on three separate occasions but it was so dull and difficult to follow I gave up and sent it back.

Didn't it win all kinds of awards or something? Maybe if I was watching it with a friend I could have got through it.

I looked it up. It got some nominations is all.  Does anyone know how it ends? Does he get the girl? I don't really care anyway. Dumb movie.

Next up - Annie Hall.

Some of the old movies just do not make much sense anymore.

Yeah, that's a funny thing isn't it. Did you ever see it?  I wonder if I will like Annie Hall.

Dudley Moore "gets the girl," but not long term.

I wouldn't watch Annie Hall because of Woody Allen.  Not that anyone asked...

You mean because he's a creep? I think I've only ever seen one woody allen movie -Hannah and her Sisters?

I don't know how these old movies get into my queue.  I mean obviously I put them there but I don't remember doing it or why.

I really prefer old tv shows to movies but NetflixDVD has cut way down on what they have available in TV shows.  You might be able to get an odd season but they never have all of them in sequence.

For instance I was watching 8 Simple Rules with John Ritter and suddenly I couldn't' get any more. I know Ritter died, but I also know the series carried on for a while after.  Same with Family Ties, I was REALLY enjoying that, then I couldn't get any further seasons.
