Joan Rivers
« on: August 30, 2014, 04:12:35 PM »
I was really hoping the news would be better today....

Quote
The 81-year-old Rivers, who was initially placed in a medically-induced coma after collapsing Thursday, was now attached to machines that are keeping her alive
Sources told the web site that daughter Melissa was hopeful that her mother could still bounce back after going into cardiac and respiratory arrest.

This video was taken 2 years ago.  I hope it brings her daughter and grandson some kind of comfort now...

Just got home and they're talking about "Joan Rivers and her long running feud with Johnny Carson."  REALLY? That's the kind of crap people have to say about her?

WHY bring the past up? WHY do they think it's necessary? PUHLEEZE!

I didn't click on the link.  I already know the story... and I don't want to give the bastages (new word) any hits.

It would be nice if the "news" media, and people in general, would be a little respectful.  Like her or not, she DOES have a grieving daughter and grandson.

It's the same thing with Robin Williams... All the crap, nothing good to read.

I didn't really see anything negative about Robin, actually.  Everything I saw/heard was about how brilliant and creative he was, his generosity (to the troops, as well as various causes), his friendship with Christopher Reeve, etc.  The only "negative" stuff I saw about him was they would say he was honest about his addictions, which was true.  I'm glad I didn't see what you saw, Brandon.  I'd have been hissed.

I hadn't seen much of Joan Rivers in many years.  Bits and pieces here and there.  She was a bit over the top (for me personally) to go see her in person.  BUT I do think she paved the way for many others.  I also admired her staying so incredibly active.. right up to the end.
