By Nature RABBIT Stew
« on: July 04, 2013, 01:35:05 AM »
The cats have been "stuck" on two proteins for a while.  I really want to add in a third one.  Beef and duck are out.

Quote

Comments?
Anyone know if their rabbit is sourced from China?

I don't know where the rabbit comes from. They told me once that all ingredients are USA or Canada sourced, but that was before they started the new line.

I don't like the fruits and veggies, and I especially don't like the spinach. Mushrooms? Bacon? Gah, why do pet food companies put these weird things in pet food?  Doh1

I understand wanting a third protein though.

There is quite a few of the ingredients I'm less than thrilled with, but... slim to no chance that I'm gonna buy a rabbit, cut it up, and serve it.

How about lamb?  venison? Let's see there is one pet food company who uses USA rabbit sources....but I can't think who it is off hand.

Sometimes we do have to compromise on ingredients.  If the food is only fed once in a while perhaps the spinach issue won't be so bad?

Hound & Gatos uses all ingredients from the U.S. with the exception of the lamb, which comes from new Zealand.
