We feed a few tins of this a month as part of our rotation, the cats really like it.  I know it has some things in there that we dont like too much, but we need the variety. Their poop sure does stink when they eat this though.

Because of the ingredients, company history, or did your felines vote it down?

The cats wouldn't eat it.  I was hoping, since I can get it locally.  But that was before I went grain free, anyway.

I haven't tried this brand.  I like to stick to grain free also, because of Leonard's blockage issues.  Don't want to tempt fate.  Tooooo much to remember, at times!   bangshead

I thought that it had been determined that Xanthum Gum was just about as  bad as carageenan? Weren't y'all discussing that in another thread somewhere?

I don't know if it is as bad, but it definitely isn't a good thing.  I would avoid it if possible.  When I was feeding canned, I fed a few brands that were better than most...but there was always that one brand that was less than desirable in our rotation.

I avoid it mainly because it is made from corn.  But I am sure I have read bad things about it on those "what to avoid" articles you see in the better feline nutrition web pages.
