Have you seen the trailer for the documentary?

I think I read the film is going to be released nationwide in the fall.

I really don't want to see it because it would depress me. But I think every vet should have to have a copy and force anyone that wants their cat declawed to watch it. It's great they're showing people a longer version of WHY now.

It is just sad ...the only way to get vets to stop doing it, is to make it unlawful.

I know.  And the frightening thing is, once it IS made illegal, it will be only the quacks doing it. People are still going to want it done, and will find someone to do it. I want so bad for this practice to stop, but is outlawing it the answer?  If only vets could develop a conscience and just...NOT DO IT and boldly speak out against it.  But of course, that's just silly to even wish for.

I mean, if there are vets willing to remove a healthy dog's teeth....... :'(

Have been trying to keep quiet because I realise it's tiring to read, but have to ask:

Between declawing, diet, & over-vaccination, you'd think that ONE of these things would be enough!!   It's only getting worse.  Add over-drugging for the "mystery illnesses" primarily cause by diet.

Nobody wants to "pick on" the vets. I've alienated people IRL as well as online because of questioning why vets aren't held to the same standards of every other profession.

People boycott & protest every business known to man, over less than this.

But I'm "bitter" and a broken record because I keep wondering why...

If someone called me "bitter," I think I'd have to look them straight in the eye and say, "I'm not bitter. I'm brokenhearted over the evils of man," and let them chew on that for a while. (pun not intended.)
