Because of him showing pain, is why I wanted to get him in on Monday. Once it is obvious he is pain, I know it is pretty bad! I'm pizzed that the earliest I can get him in is Wednesday morning. You would think the vet's office (both of the ones I called) would know he is in pain, when I told them he was having trouble eating and pawing at his mouth.
Some vets get further (more detailed) training/education in dental procedures... after vet school. It isn't that I want a specialist, as much as I just prefer a vet that is a bit more "in the know."
Anyway, I have been able to keep him eating by adding water to his ground raw. His meals are pretty much soup.
By the way, his appointment is with our previous vet. Glad I didn't burn any bridges behind me!
