Fancy Feast Gourmet Line
« on: January 04, 2012, 10:18:43 AM »
Is the "Gourmet" line, the one that is the lessor of grocery store pet food evils?
If so, why?
I'm sooooo not a fan of Purina products, but someone I work with wants to feed a "better" food that can be purchased at the grocery store.
SOMETIMES, you have to "meet" a person where they are at.  So, don't jump my asp.    :D

Yes because of the low carbohydrates/no glutens.
Just give the heads-up about this  http://www.consumeraffairs.com/pets/ralston.html    :(
Haven't seen any for the Gourmet ones specifically mentioned... probably because the rest of their foods have so much garbage?

Thanks.  That was the info I needed.  I could only think of 101 reason why NOT to buy Purina products... (IMHO, of course. ;) )

You could suggest they try the Natural Life, if it's in their store.

I get it at my local Hannaford.  My local Walmart (sucks) does not carry it.  I try to avoid going there (Walmart (sucks)) any way.

My problem with the Fancy Feast classics is the dye and artificial stuff, and the sodium nitrites. It doesn't have carrageenan though. funny2
