I had a discussion with a vet about the "kooks on the internet."  I mentioned Dr. Elizabeth Hodgkins DVM Esq.  Told him to Google that "kook" sometime.   Silly7

I'll have to remember that remark.  funny2

There aren't a lot of choices for informed vets in my area, but... I haven't been back to him since.  I wish I could be more like you.  I would then continue going to his practice...armed with info.  There was a time he was open for learning new info, researching, etc.  :(

This is a pretty good "explanation" also...

Hill’s Pet Nutrition Inc. of Topeka, Kan., has made a $5 million, 10-year commitment to the University of Guelph to support a new educational center at the Ontario Veterinary College.

The Hill’s Pet Nutrition Primary Healthcare Center will focus on teaching and research in primary companion animal health care and service delivery. Students will also learn to educate owners about the health, nutrition and well-being of their pets.
