Queen Eva has started to join me on my guided mediation sessions. I mean, it's not unusual for her to get on me, when I lie down and am reading.

But when I am doing the guided meditations, when she gets on me it feels different, she feels different. Her purr and chirps have a sightly different resonance, and when she finishes kneading and curls up, she seems to spread herself out more somehow. It's interesting.

How's she doing?

 Hug1 Hug1

Eating everything I put I front of her!  Showing more interest in playing but not quite up to usual yet. I did get some video of some of her favorite games, before I reduced the dose again. I can't remember if you can view videos but I can post them here if you can.

You may remember the canned food I feed her has been discontinued. I have enough to take us through September then that's it.  So far the only food I have found to replace it is Ziwi Peak.  I had been giving her a small portion of this periodically, and lately have been using it for her bedtime meal every night. She eats it, but has passed some very hard stool overnight. That is not a good sign, but of course I can't be sure it is the ZWP causing it, more experimenting will be needed.

She still gets her raw meal in the morning. Then canned at supper time, usually a bit of 'extra' when I have my supper, she'll either have some of my chicken, or if I'm not having something I can share with her she gets a few pieces of plain raw chicken.

And bedtime is the ZWP.  There are variations, once a week she gets a cooked meal (I make a cooked batch of mostly pork, with a little chicken in it, and freeze it into meal portions in it's broth) instead of the ZWP, and once a week she gets Meat Mates freeze dried raw for her supper meal in place of the canned.

She won't eat either of those meals more than once a week.

Also..something I forget until she starts doing it again.  I am so thrilled to see her sit and have a good face wash like a normal cat after she eats, instead of that awful crouch.

I have good news.  The increased dose is working quickly, probably because I didn't delay starting it back up as soon as I noticed the crouching.  This morning she actually played her morning game, not for long, but she did play. And then, oh happy day, after a pee and a poop she did her Poop Run! How I love it when she Thunders Around the House!

We're going back to 0.2 and keeping her on it. No more yo-yo.

multistars

Today has been the worst day, she's just crouching around the house. I hate that crouch.

:(  GoodVibes  fingerscrossed she's back to herself quickly!

Clearly, she needs the slightly higher dose.  Hopefully the vet will agree.   fingerscrossed

She's slipping back again, after 10 days on the lowered dose. I have left a message for the vet to call me and put her back up to 0.2 mg this morning.  She's right back to picking at her food, and she's stopped playing again. Back to saying she wants to play, then not doing it.  And that free and easy springy trot is gone.
