Christmas
« on: December 07, 2017, 04:06:54 PM »
I'm getting in the spirt...finally!  Ya me.    ;D

One row of lights are on the outside of the house.  I've done some shopping... online.  I have to do my part to keep USPS, UPS, and FedEx in business.   Silly7

I have the Christmas Eve meal planned.

Waiting for my indoor tree to arrive.  It is about 33 inches tall, so it will be easy to place.  Looks pet friendly.  No tinsel.  No wires.  No glass ornaments.

I don't know, the train and ball ornaments looks like they could be some fun swatting/chasing for some kitties . . .  kittyball PookieLove

That's the idea!  I am hoping to have a child friendly tree/ornaments that the cats can safely play with.  I don't know if our current bunch of cats would climb a regular fake tree, or play with the ornaments.  BUT Lola loves to chew on thin wires.  Tree lights have thin wires.  It just isn't worth it.

I plan to still put up the wall tree this year.  Also, we put up our old inside fake tree in the front yard, with lights and ornaments meant for the outdoors.  Funny... the outdoor cats don't go near it!  lol

Awesome! Have you cut the train on yet to see if anyone paws at it?

The train set is very thin plastic.  Whereas, the rest of it is very durable plastic.  The train doesn't turn on or anything.
Originally, I saw it on Amazon.  I didn't buy it right away.  When I decided to finally purchase it the price went up to waaaay over 100 bucks.  The mfg stopped making them, so the sellers that had them... raised the price.
I went directly to the mfg website and put in a "let me know if they ever get restocked" request.  I wasn't paying over 100 bucks for one!  Recently the mfg. sent me an email.  They had a limited amount available, and provided a special link.
The rest is history!  :)

This is a better picture.
The ornaments are pretty sturdy.  The cats haven't played with any of them... yet.   Silly7

The human kids will enjoy it (I think) when they come over for the family Christmas party.

Yeah. Step 2 toys can be VERY expensive even without them being discontinued collectibles. This tree would be especially coveted by kids with the largest play houses.

Ya know what is funny... none of the cats have TOUCHED the little tree.  I thought for sure they would bat the ornaments around!
My sister came over yesterday and knocked all the ornaments out of the tree, by accident.  Soooooo the cats KNOW the ornaments can be removed easily, AND that they roll across the floor!
