I voted.  I was a little disturbed by the wording though.

That's because declawing of exotics and big cats has already been banned in the USA.

Sorry.  I re-read an article I had recently read... missed that the location was not the USA.

sarcasmalert  But . . . it doesn't hurt them, or cause behavior issues, or . . .  >:(  End of sarcasmalert

So, it's not okay to do it to the exotics or big cats, but it's ok for the domestic cats.  And people don't see the hypocrisy in this?!?!   bangshead bangshead bangshead bangshead

People DO.  The AVMA does not.  Because, their vet members pay dues.  And their members declaw cats.  If the AVMA condemns declawing of domestic cats, they will lose members, they will lose their dues.

Declawing is all about money.  ALL about money.

PS you can vote every day :)

Can't convince people that zoo cats aren't fed kibble.  The odds are slim that people can be convinced why it is illegal for big cats to be declawed.  I don't think people WANT to know facts.

I know it's no big deal since I'm going to assume everyone that's at the site can read, but yesterday the "yes" was on top in the voting box, and the "no" was 2nd place. It's moved today though. The "no" was on top.

Yes, Dee that's why I mentioned being careful when you vote.  It does seem to go up and down, the location of the votes.  Interesting isn't it.

Oh and by the way, I think it's worth noting that since that "America's Favorite Vet" farce, two of the top ten vets in the running (besides Dr Ritcher) have decided to no longer declaw.

That's GREAT! I knew one had, but I didn't hear that another one had joined in too!

Thanks for pointing that out, I might not have caught that.   :-[  The "yes" button is on top today.

Good to hear about those 2 vets that no longer declaw.   HeadButt
