Ah, I was wondering if we had a thread on this food. I've been involved in a discussion elsewhere about this one. I can't get around the potatoes in it, myself, but others may not mind them so much, since there is little else to object to.
I have found out some things about it by emailing them here are the replies I got:
Thank you for your inquiry and your interest in FirstMate products.
We have listed the carbohydrate content of our canned cat food diets on an as fed basis below.
Canned Salmon formula 2.3%
Canned Turkey formula 1.5%
Canned Chicken formula 1.5%
It seems like you have also discovered a typo on our Guaranteed Analysis. The taurine content should read 0.2%. We appreciate you bringing that to our attention and we will correct it as soon as possible.
Of course the carb info has to be converted to dry matter for accuracy
then I wrote back and asked about sourcing and their cans and got this info:
FirstMate is actually manufactured at our facility in British Columbia, Canada. We source our ingredients from within North America with the exception of our Lamb (used in our dry diets) which comes from Australia.
Our canned products are also manufactured in British Columbia using BPA or Epoxy free cans.
