Co-Op Ordering
« on: October 20, 2018, 10:04:00 PM »
I put this here because I have more cats then I do dogs.  Silly7

I found one in my general area, but am a bit confused.  Their website is a nightmare... at least for me.
I get the general idea.  One orders meat and such and then it gets delivered to a general location.  Person picks up meat.

The particular one I am looking into has prey model, grinds, etc.

A person apparently has to join their Yahoo private (sigh) group to get more info.
I don't want to ask questions and sound like a jerk, but... they don't (as far as I have found on Facebook and their website) mention where/who they get their meat FROM.
They also don't mention the ratios for their grinds.
I can't find much info on their name.
Not sure what other info I should know.

I understand buying from a Co-Op is a normal thing for many.  It is something new, for me,  that I am seriously considering.  I am a bit nervous.

PS They don't allow comments on their Facebook page, so I can't get a feel about them by reading customer comments.

Don't know anything about it. I'm too cynical to trust a co-op I think.

FB is not my thing - too confusing.
Can you post questions on your page thus reaching out to customers? Are local vets/shelter familiar with this co-op?
To me it sounds keine they either do not want to share their sources for fear of loosing customers or are shady.

This is why I don't order from a Co-Op.  I get confused and give up on the idea.

I like the concept, but am not a fan of Yahoo groups that require you to join before you can actually see the information there.  How do I know the information is useful?  Why should I go through the trouble of signing up if I don't know how good the information will be once I can see it?  It's like buying a car without test-driving it, IMO.  But . . . I tend to be picky that way.   Silly7
