Put your odd questions here, because someone that has a cat might need to know. I'll start it off with:
1. Are cats like dogs in that you run the risk of Pyometra (life theatening uterine infection) if they're not spayed?
2. Does a clowder of cats have an alpha male and female like packs of dogs do?

1. Are cats like dogs in that you run the risk of Pyometra (life theatening uterine infection) if they're not spayed?
Yes. And every heat cycle raises the risk of breast cancer later in the cat's life. This risk is not lessened by spaying. The risk of pyometra of course, is eliminated by spaying.
2. Does a clowder of cats have an alpha male and female like packs of dogs do?
Not really. Cats are very territorial, but can learn to live together in peace, as long as the home (or territory) provides enough resources for everyone. However I have lived with multiple cats all my life, and generally speaking one does tend to be "top cat". Gender is not important.
But most people these days state that dogs don't either, that "alpha" and "dominance theory" is outdated thinking.
