Fruits And Vegetables - Yay Or Nay
« on: March 15, 2019, 09:43:23 AM »
It seems half the world says that dogs need fruits and veggies.  The other half says no.
Not wanting to NOT feed something needed.... I have now fed two dogs fruits and veggies.  Fruits and veggies pureed myself and in foods (different brands) that already contain them.
Our angel Lacy would burp and lick her lips a lot.
Misa is doing the same.
I think I have joined the "Fruits And Veggies Aren't Needed" camp.

I remember a similar discussion when Dee Dee was here, and she found if she didn't feed the pureed veggies that her dogs would eat grass (I think).  Up until that point, I was in the "not needed" camp.  Now I'm thinking it depends on the dog -- maybe some need it, and others don't (or not as much/often).

Lacy would eat grass when fed fruits and veggies.  Go figure.
