New thing on The Voice tonight
« on: December 15, 2014, 08:02:45 PM »
A couple of original songs have been sung. Now the country-music guy's wasn't good IMO, but this guy, Matt McAndrew, has a really good song. The metaphoric tone of the lyrics, and the pain. Just Whoa. I think this might be the winner of The Voice this year.

"In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn't merely try to train him to be semihuman. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly a dog." Edward Hoagland
"Thorns may hurt you, men desert you, sunlight turn to fog; but you're never friendless ever, if you have a dog."

Nice voice.  Nice song...sad, but nice.

I'm still kind of bummed that the country guy Craig won instead of Matt. Craig did something at the end that no one else has ever done though. He sang a gospel song: Old Rugged Cross. That took some big dangley things and a lot of conviction to take that kind of risk. I think that's what threw him out of underdog status.

JUST going by the two performances you posted... I would have voted for Craig.  I'm partial to "scratchy" voices...and the song was beautifully sung.
