Your cat jumps into the top box and urinates as usual. All urine passes through the non-absorbent litter and through the slotted floor to the bottom box. Urine flows down the drain into the covered reservoir. The urine can be tested for blood glucose levels, if necessary, and then disposed of down the toilet. Feces do not stick to the litter and is scooped out and disposed of. Both EASY & NATURAL.

The SMART CAT BOX has no electrical or mechanical parts and is made in the USA.

The SAFFLOWER seed litter is all-natural, ecologically & environmentally friendly, renewable, sized specifically for the Smart Cat Box and is grown in the US.
The Super Saff litter is less expensive and has no scent; (some cats prefer this).

I think this is a great idea, even if your cat does not have any problems.
Hmm... going to go check and see how much a big bag of Safflower seeds cost at Wally world.

I tried to convert my cats to the SmartCatBox system last year.  I purchased one system, and made several boxes of my own (using two boxes, drilling holes in the top box).  All but one cat was able to adjust to the safflower seed litter.  The one cat who was unable to adjust was the cat who has FLUTD.  So it was not a success for me.

However I will be happy to answer any about my experiences with it.

Would not the safflower seeds go through the holes?? I looked at some litter boxes today to see if I could put two together, one for drainage, but I think they would be to close together. :-\
I ended up buying some Natures Miracle litter to tie me over until I figure this out.

The holes I drilled were small enough so the seeds did not go through. I did run into some puddling issues since I drilled holes instead of slats.  I made more holes, closer together, to solve that.

However it was not to be.  I still had to keep at least one clay box for the one cat, and as long as there was one clay box, they all chose that one over the seed boxes, though they would use the seed boxes once in a while.  The one cat who couldn't adjust is my FUTD kitty, and she is also The Litter Box Police.  It was just causing her too much stress.

And I was so hopeful....!
