I can smell wood when my nose is stuck in the litter box. In general, it isn't a strong smell though. And I am VERY sensitive to ANYTHING smelly. Also, Lola has a very sensitive sniffer. Years ago, we thought she had allergies. Long story short... dusty and scented litters were the cause.
Last time I changed litters to a light one, her nose didn't like it.
I've had the Okocat in boxes for a few days now... no runny noses and no sneezing going on with Lola or any of them.
Another plus...
I let the litter run low and then dump and clean. With the other litter, if it wasn't deep enough, I would have pee balls that would stick to the bottom of box. Or if someone peed in a corner of the box. Those pee balls would require a sledgehammer to remove. None of that going on with this litter.
