I've been gone all day, so I'm just now catching up with my blog-reading.

I saw this and thought you might want to check out the Yahoo group that's recommended:

Quote
Hare-Today is a source that can ship different varieties of meats and organs.  If you are in California you can check out the processor Creston Valley Meats (the system of ordering can be a bit confusing so if you have questions, please let me know).  Joining the Carnivore Feed Supplier Yahoo! group is another resource.

There are links that aren't copied in that quote, so you'll have to go to the page to get to the links:

http://www.floppycats.com/frankenprey-how-i-feed-my-ragdoll-cat-prossimo.html

I've only skimmed that page, though, so read it closely. I'm only putting it here for now because I saw the Yahoo Group recommendation.

We are a USDA Certified Facility located in California.  Family owned, with fourteen years experience, our products are vacuum sealed and  prepared fresh weekly.   All of our ingredients are inspected and approved for human consumption.  The proof is our USDA seal stamped on all of our diets without ground bone.  All meats are sourced in the U.S.A. You are welcome to share our food with your loving pets, cooked of course.

The bolded... has me a bit confused.

Also, maybe I am blind... but where does it say it can be purchased?

I don't see that brand name at www.mypetcarnivore.com either.

Maybe I should go back to bed, and try later.   Silly7

I think they mean the HUMANS are welcome to share (eat) the food, but cook it for themselves.  I had to read it several times (in context) before I realized what they meant.

There is a contact us page, if you wanted to ask them how to purchase.

Alnutrin is an all in one, and if you are ordering from hare-today you can purchase it directly from HT when you place your order.

love1  GOOOD to see you, Amber!!  Thanks for bumping this thread.   DrLisaPiersonWorthy  I don't know why I act like it is brain surgery...   Doh1
Anyway, I took the plunge.  I decided to put in a smaller (more affordable) order, to at least get the ball rolling.  SOME raw meals, are better than none.
I ordered 25 pounds of ground chicken (everyone likes chicken) with bones and organs, and Alnutrin.  Added a bunch of extra ice packs too.  Fingers crossed I did everything correctly.

What do you guys think of this? A lady that works at the pet food store I go to sometimes says she orders her meat from the local butcher, and they grind it for her. Now this kinda scares me. I said to her" but dont you think there are too many hands working the product then, more chances for bacteria"?
Hi Amber :) did you see my new kitty pics? Is this what Amber looked like when she was a kitten?

If you mean the butcher, as in the local grocery store...  I wouldn't.  Too much handling, for my comfort.
