I realize it's a type of plant, but it might be worth a try if your cat is having issues that seem to be immune-based. I'd stick with a brand that has actually had the iodine levels tested though.

My only concern with spirulina is that I've read it blocks B12 absorption, which is why I never used it.  Just my  2cents

This also is being heavily recommended in the IBD group. I am skeptical. If I had a cattery or a houseful of cats I might consider this to be necessary. Thing is, none of this has long term research to back up whether it is safe or not. It's all new information.
