CVMA speaks out against declawing
« on: March 29, 2017, 04:59:58 PM »
Canadian Veterinary Medical Association now has an official policy AGAINST declawing!  This is HUGE.

Too bad the AVMA is still cowering behind their dues paying veterinarian members who don't want to lose their gravy train.

But still, it's a big step in our efforts, even if it isn't in the USA.

The more that speak out against declawing... the better.  Soon declawing will be the exception, rather then the norm.   fingerscrossed

I think you meant the reverse . . . "Soon declawing will be the exception, rather than the norm."   Silly7 :)

It's Thursday. Lola and I often have bad Thursdays and Fridays. Mom problems.

I'm sorry.  I didn't mean to sound like I was picking on her.

Although they adamantly condemn the declawing of wild and exotic cats, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the U.S. equivalent of the CVMA, has not been bold enough to come out against the lucrative surgery of declawing of domestic cats.
